How to get to Salt Spring Island:
Scheduled BC Ferries service brings you to Salt Spring Island to one of three terminals located on the island: Long Harbour, Fulford Harbour, or Vesuvius Bay. Travelling light? You can take a scenic ride on floatplanes that whisk you from downtown Vancouver or Vancouver Airport to the Ganges float plane dock in the heart of the village.
You will arrive either by float plane in Ganges or by ferry at one of three terminals:
From Ganges: Drive north through the village, turn right on Upper Ganges Rd. Stay right as it becomes Robinson and then Walker Hook Rd. Turn left on Fort St (steep paved road) and drive to the top. Turn right on Head St. and drive to the end of the road to 14O Head St--Suncrest
From Long Harbour: Go to first stop sign, turn right, stay to the right (Robinson Road becomes Walker's Hook Rd.). Turn left on Fort St (steep paved road) and drive to the top. Turn right on Head St. and drive to the end of the road to 14O Head St--Suncrest
From Fulford Harbour: Drive the main road to Ganges. Shortly after you drive through the village turn right on Upper Ganges Rd. Stay right as it becomes Robinson and then Walker Hook. Turn left on Fort St (steep paved road) and drive to the top. Turn right on Head St. and drive to the end of the road to 14O Head St--Suncrest
From Vesuvius Bay: Drive Vesuvius Bay Road to the four way intersection. Go across the road and you are on Upper Ganges Rd., drive to the stop sign and turn left on Robinson Rd. Stay to the right as Robinson becomes Walker Hook. Turn left on Fort St. (steep paved road) and drive to the top. Turn right on Head St. and drive to the end of the road to 14O Head St--Suncrest

From Anacortes to Sidney, on Vancouver Island: Drive a few miles north to Swartz Bay and take a B.C. ferry to Fulford on Salt Spring Island. Call 206-464-6400 or toll free 888-808-7977 reservations
The Victoria Clipper Provides passenger-only transportation between Seattle and Victoria and also runs the Princess Marguerite III ferry, carrying both cars and passengers. Call 206-448-5000 or toll free (800) 888-2535.
Black Ball Transport Carries vehicles and passengers between Port Angeles and Victoria. Call 360-457-4491.
Victoria-San Juan Cruises operates a passenger ferry between Bellingham and Vancouver Island, via the San Juans, through Oct. 4. Call 800-443-4552.
